Give the chips and salsa a rest, and come to the BBQ with something a little more creative. Check out these 6 popsicles to make at home, all using Core Organic flavors. Snag a popsicle mold, some fruit, and you’re good to go!
Strawberry Banana Add freshly cut, thinly sliced strawberries, about 6 slices per popsicle. To avoid having all of the fruit stay at the bottom- layers are key! Add core and fruit in small layers, about an inch a piece, allowing to freeze before staring the next layer.
Cut up small pieces of mango, thin slices of Peach and press against the side of the mold. Once the first fruit layer is added, pour in the Peach Mango, let freeze- and repeat!
Tropical CoconutYou can try this using fresh coconut, or dried. We used dried coconut for a hint of texture. First, add in the coconut shavings, then add a layer or Core Organic Coconut. Freeze the layer, and repeat until the popsicle mold is full.
Watermelon LemonadeFor this one, we use strictly Core! Fill the mold to the top with Watermelon Lemonade, no layering necessary.
Pomegranate Blue AcaiFor this one, we layered in pomegranate seeds and blueberries, which gave an especially fun texture and look!
BlueberryAdd 2-3 blueberries, and cover with about an inch of Core Organic Blueberry. Repeat with each layer until the popsicle mold is filled to the brim.
Make your popsicles look as 100 as they taste: Layers are key, press the fruit up against the side of the popsicle mold and freeze in portions, to avoid the fruit falling to the bottom.
We’d love to see your Core Organic popsicles this summer. If you try them, be sure to share with us @Core using #truetothecore. Enjoy!
